Amazon Announces 300ppi Kindle Voyage, $199, shipping Oct 21, 2014

The Kindle is part of my regular reading and today Amazon announced the Kindle Voyage.

I live in Seattle and have known many friends who joined Amazon.  I use amazon.com for business and home supplies with 2 day shipping with Amazon Prime.  So I am regularly on amazon.com, and saw the Voyage was available to order.  And being able to have 300ppi black and white text is so geeky for those who worked on printing technology.

Benefits of 30 minutes of reading regularly, reduces stress & improves concentration, Yes!!!

the WSJ has article on the benefits of spending 30 minutes regularly reading without interruption.

Read Slowly to Benefit Your Brain and Cut Stress

At Least 30 Minutes of Uninterrupted Reading With a Book or E-Book Helps

...

Slow readers list numerous benefits to a regular reading habit, saying it improves their ability to concentrate, reduces stress levels and deepens their ability to think, listen and empathize. The movement echoes a resurgence in other old-fashioned, time-consuming pursuits that offset the ever-faster pace of life, such as cooking the "slow-food" way or knitting by hand.

I started the habit of reading 30 minutes a day or more by reading on my kindle paperwhite when at the gym last year.  For a while there I took no smartphone, but my spouse complained when I was not responding to text messages.  Uhh, that is the point.  :-)  I had been using my Galaxy Note for a while to read, but found it way to distracting to check e-mail, surf the internet or read other things. The kindle paperwhite is a reading device only.

It feels good to spend at least 30 minutes aerobic work out and 30 minutes reading.  For a while there I was up to an hour at a time, but I need have lax and fallen off in being a regular to the gym during the summer.  Kids are back in school , so drop them off at the bus stop, then to the gym.

What I find useful for reading Data Center News - Google News "data center"

Reading data center news can be tedious to jump from one website to another.  What I find more useful using google news and go search for “data center”.  here is a link you can use https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&gl=us&tbm=nws&authuser=0&q=data+center&oq=data+center

I find I can use this link once every two or three days and click on the <next> button to see what is older or less popular, but I rarely find myself using this link everyday.

Do you have a monk in your data center? Trappist Monks secrets to business success

I have been accused of living like a monk.  I used to live in my house without a TV, no stereo, with only one chair and glass table on the floor.  My current house is not like a monastery.  I still prefer silence instead of the stereo.  When I was 14 I started meditating.  And have been accused of having discussions with me is like arguing with a zen monk. :-)

On my trip to Iceland I finished the

There are many lessons in the book worth remembering.

The main theme is.

Service and selflessness are at the heart of the 1,500-year-old monastic tradition’s remarkable business success. It is an ancient though immensely relevant economic model that preserves what is positive and productive about capitalism while transcending its ethical limitations and internal contradictions.
